What to do in the event of an accident

Don't admit liability.
Take photos of the scene.
If you can't take photos, make a quick sketch, noting road signs and layout.
Make a note of the damage to your and any third party vehicle.
Get full insurance details of any third parties, along with the Name, Address, and the vehicle registration number.
Get names and addresses from witnesses (very important)
If the police attend, note down the names and numbers of the officers dealing with the incident.
